The IFS Model

Have you ever felt like different parts of you want different things — one part pushing forward, while another holds back? Internal Family Systems (IFS) offers a way of understanding these experiences, not as something to fix, but as different parts of you that each hold a role, a story, or a need.

How does it work:

In my practice, I integrate IFS alongside other therapeutic approaches to support deeper internal inquiry. I also draw on Presence Psychotherapy to help access what IFS calls Self energy, a grounded and compassionate part of you that can begin to lead with more clarity and confidence.

What does a session look like:

We might begin by noticing a thought, experience, or reaction and getting curious about the part of you behind it.

Rather than pushing this part away, we give it space to be heard, the work focuses on building trust within your internal system or multiple parts.

Over time, this can support greater clarity, ease, and a more connected relationship with yourself.

The Format:

IFS is a process that unfolds over time and is often supported across a minimum of 6 to 8 sessions, allowing space to gently connect with and understand your internal system.

Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes and are shaped by what feels most present for you.
