Creative Arts Psychotherapy

Therapy that goes beyond words.

Every person has their own way of making meaning.

Art Therapy is a form of Psychotherapy which recognises that understanding ourselves doesn't always happen through conversation alone. It invites curiosity, creativity and reflection, offering space to explore experiences in a visual form.

More Than Making Art

Art Therapy isn't about artistic ability or creating something beautiful. It's about discovering new ways to understand ourselves when words alone don't feel enough.

Sometimes that happens through conversation.

Sometimes through images, metaphor, movement, writing or creative expression.

Creative Arts Psychotherapy can be combined with approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR and Polyvagal-informed practice.

Therapy is always tailored to your goals, preferences and what feels right for you.

Every session is different.

There is no expectation to make art in every session—or at all.

Some sessions are entirely conversational.

Others may include drawing, collage, writing, imagery, movement or reflective exercises.

Creative processes simply offer another way of exploring thoughts, emotions and experiences when words alone don't quite capture them.

You’re feeling stuck. Perhaps you've noticed recurring patterns, feel uncertain about where to go next, or sense that something needs to change.
